Dorset Art Weeks | Online Auction
Following the cancellation of this year’s Dorset Art Weeks – the UK’s largest free arts festival – over 80 artists present their works in this online auction, presented by The Auction Hub.
The auction will open for bidding on Tuesday 7 July and remains open until Sunday 19 July.
Featuring over 200 items, covering: paintings, prints, photographs, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textiles, jewellery, mixed media, furniture & stoneware.
This online auction is an excellent opportunity to potentially purchase an original piece for less than it would in a traditional gallery setting. These three paintings I have selected from a larger body of work that I am still currently developing, and what I was going to exhibit during the open studios in May.

About the Works
There are a variety of coastal landforms that the Jurassic Coastline has to offer. The contrasting geology is how I have started with this series. The above paintings based on visits to Eype, Ringstead and West Bay - the form of each shoreline different from the other.
On my journeys to gather inspiration, I have beachcombed found objects that have washed ashore: gathering ropes, plastics, driftwoods along with organic materials like pebbles and grains of sands to experiment mark making. Each material creates a unique mark on the canvas - and forming texture related to each place.
